Day 1  Lima            
Upon arrival transfer to the elegant 4★+ Hotel B in Lima’s bohemian Barranco area.      

Day 2  Lima            
Enjoy a relaxed bike ride along the coastal pathway between Miraflores and Barranco and hear about the history of these scenic neighbourhoods. Later explore Lima after dark to see the historic sites illuminated and sample Peruvian cuisine at a popular restaurant.      

Day 3  Lima to the Sacred Valley            
Fly to Cusco and drive to the wonderful 4★ Sol y Luna in the Sacred Valley. En route stop at a local textile centre and the famous market town of Pisac.  

Day 4  Sacred Valley            
Experience breathtaking scenery on a guided trek past remote ruins, Inca terraces and small villages before enjoying a delicious pachamanca lunch, traditionally cooked in an earthen oven.      

Day 5  Sacred Valley            
Visit the indigenous community of Misminay to learn about the local Andean lifestyle. Later marvel at the immense archaeological complex of Moray and the striking Maras salt terraces.      

Day 6  Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu        
Take the train towards Machu Picchu, and disembark to hike the final stretch of the famous Inca Trail to the Sun Gate for a truly magical first view over this historic site. Later head to the nearby town of Aguas Calientes and stay at the fantastic 4★+ Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel.      

Day 7  Machu Picchu to Cusco        
Explore the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu; with its mysterious past, impressive architecture and wow-factor views this is sure to be a highlight! Journey by scenic train to Ollantaytambo and continue to Cusco by road for a stay at the 3★+ Antigua Casona San Blas.      

Day 8  Cusco            
Soak up Cusco’s vibrant atmosphere as you explore its cobbled streets on a walking tour. Visit important Inca sites and the bustling San Pedro Market.

Day 9  Cusco            
Learn how to make chocolate and create some tasty treats to take home before spending the afternoon at leisure.  

Day 10  Cusco to Máncora      
Fly (via Lima) to the laidback beach town of Máncora in northern Peru for a stay at the picturesque 4★ Arennas Máncora, set on a beautiful stretch of beach.

Days 11-12  Máncora            
Relax on the beach or unwind by the pool. From Jul - Oct humpback whales migrate to this area so speak to your travel consultant about including a cruise for the chance to see these magnificent mammals.    

Day 13  Máncora to Lima      
Fly to Lima for your onward travel arrangements.
