Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Siem Reap
Day 2 Siem Reap
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Bags dropped, it’s time to begin exploring. Join a guided tour of Preah Khan, a 12th Century temple complex filled with stone carvings. In the evening, savour the unique flavours of Khmer cuisine with dinner at a traditional wooden Khmer house.
Day 3 Temples of Angkor
Step into the world of Angkor. Visit Ta Prohm, a picturesque temple with crumbling walls. Move on to the ancient city of Angkor Thom surrounded by a staggering 8m high wall. Continue to Bayon temple, renowned for having 54 towers. After lunch, head over to majestic Angkor Wat, the famed 12th Century temple complex spanning 500 acres. End your day watching the sun set over its grounds and the jungle beyond.
Day 4 Siem Reap
Experience Cambodia away from the crowds as you zip through the picturesque countryside around Siem Reap by Vespa. Visit a traditional market and travel across scenic rice paddies en route to meet a local family.
Days 5-6 Siem Reap to Battambang
Travel west to Battambang and spend the rest of the day at leisure. The following morning, embark on a cycling tour to nearby villages. Later, drive to Phnom Sampeau, offering spectacular views, also, home to the notorious ‘Killing Caves’,a sobering reminder of Cambodia’s troubled past.
Day 7 Battambang to Phnom Penh
Set off for a scenic drive to Phnom Penh, passing through rural communities. En route visit Oudong, the former royal capital of Cambodia.
Day 8 Phnom Penh
Immerse yourself in Phnom Penh with a guided tour. Visit Tuol Sleng Prison and the sombre Killing Fields before continuing to the Royal Palace and the National Museum in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River.
Days 9-10 Phnom Penh to Kep
After breakfast, travel by road to Kep for a peaceful coastal retreat, renowned for its local delicacy, Kampot pepper crab. Spend the following day at leisure, wandering through lovely markets sampling local street food.
Day 11 Kep to Cardamom Mountains
Travel to the Cardamom Mountains today, with a road transfer and picturesque boat ride leading you to your unique stay at 4★ Canvas & Orchid’s Retreat.
Day 12 Cardamom Mountains
Spend your day relaxing on your private terrace, exploring the waterways by kayak or taking a refreshing swim in the river. Alternatively, venture into the verdant jungle to discover waterfalls and beguiling nature trails.
Day 13 Cardamom Mountains to Koh Rong
After breakfast, drive to Sihanoukville to board a shared speedboat to the idyllic island of Koh Rong.
Days 14-15 Koh Rong
Spend the next couple of days unwinding on stunning white sand beaches, snorkelling in crystalline waters and exploring all that this spectacular island has to offer.
Days 16-17 Transfer to Phnom Penh and fly home
