Local Tour
Duration: 10 hours
It’s an early start for the drive to Kbal Spean, a carved riverbed and early Hindu pilgrimage site, reached on a 2 mile trek through dense jungle. Learn about the history of Hinduism in Cambodia while exploring this unique river followed by a visit to the Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity, the first nature conservation project in Cambodia where you can see many endangered species. After an optional lunch (payable locally), stop at the chilling Landmine Museum and see the incredible, thought-provoking displays about Cambodia’s tragic wartime history. Finally, head to the rarely visited Banteay Srei temple, known for its pink sandstone and intricate carvings and probably the best-preserved monument of the entire Angkor complex.
Departs: Siem Reap
Exclusions: Angkor Historical site surcharge
