Kuala Lumpur City Sights & Beach Delights

Days 1-3  Kuala Lumpur  
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur and transfer to your hotel. Spend a few days exploring the many sights of this captivating city. Visit the impressive Petronas Twin Towers and venture up to the observation deck, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the skyline. Head to the Hindu shrine in the Batu Caves, reached by 272 colourful stairs flanked by a spectacular golden statue of Lord Murugan. Indulge in diverse street food with a visit to Jalan Alor to sample local delicacies such as delicious satay skewers, deep-fried squid and Char Kway Teow (stir-fried noodles).  

Day 4  Kuala Lumpur to Gaya Island  
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo. From the airport, take a road transfer and speedboat to the spectacular Gaya Island, where you will spend the next few days soaking up the sun.  

Days 5-10  Gaya Island  
Enjoy your time at the resort, surrounded by lush jungle and white-sand beaches. Discover the colourful underwater world beneath the turquoise waves, with snorkelling tours led by expert biologists guiding you through the diverse marine life surrounding the coral reefs of this conservation area. Join a naturalist for a guided walk through the botanic reserve to learn more about the island’s wildlife, including the distinctive proboscis monkeys. Unwind with a treatment at the Spa Village, which uses traditional healing practices combined with modern techniques to create a sense of total tranquillity.  

Day 11  Gaya Island  
Leave the island behind and transfer by speedboat and road to Kota Kinabalu airport, where you can take your onward flight.
