Itinerary
Day 2 Hoi An
Upon arrival transfer to Hoi An and enjoy a relaxed day to settle in and begin to explore the area. Hoi An is an atmospheric town that was once Asia’s most important port. The Old Town is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site buzzing with charming restaurants and stylish bars.
Day 3 Hoi An
Experience Hoi An as the locals do – through its food! Why not take part in a street food tour and be guided through delicious local delicacies? Relax with an evening stroll along the river as it comes alive at night and don’t miss a visit to its famous night markets.
Day 4 Hoi An
On your final day in Hoi An perhaps venture to the fascinating ruins of the former mighty Champa Kingdom at My Son or have a skilled craftsman tailormake you some clothes, a skill for which Hoi An is renowned.
Day 5 Hoi An to Hue
Relax on a scenic drive from Hoi An to Hue, admiring coastal views on the Hai Van pass before settling into your hotel in Hue. Why not visit the Thien Mu Pagoda for sunset, seeing Vietnam’s tallest religious building in gorgeous golden hues from the banks of the river.
Day 6 Hue
Today, immerse yourself in Vietnam’s history, perhaps enjoying a guided tour of the city. Learn of its fascinating past as the nation’s capital, visiting the Imperial Citadel, once the home of Vietnam’s last emperors, and the renowned Tu Duc Royal Tombs among other sites.
Days 7-11 Hue to Danang
After your adventures, it is now time to welcome some beach time on Vietnam’s golden sands. For those keen to explore, venture to the nearby Cham Islands, an area rich in marine life.
Days 12-13 Fly home
Optional Excursions: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed complex of My Son. Hear tales of the former Champa Kingdom whilst exploring this atmospheric relics before a guided tour through Hoi An’s narrow streets.
