Itinerary
Days 2-12 Vietnam
Arrive in Vietnam, a country with breathtaking natural beauty, tumultuous history and a vibrant culture, the perfect start to your South East Asian adventure. Cruise the spectacular Halong Bay where towering rock formations rise majestically from the emerald waters, discover the famous tailor shops of delightful Hoi An before exploring Ho Chi Minh City and the historic Cu Chi tunnels.
Days 13-18 Cambodia
Start your week in Cambodia remembering the fascinating and sobering history of the country’s past with a visit to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. Explore the glittering Royal Palace in Phnom Penh before heading to the Temples of Angkor, the world’s largest religious monument and arguably the most famous, with the impressive Angkor Wat as its centrepiece. Marvel at the unique structures and stone carvings, explore the vine covered ruins and watch the sun set over the stunning temple vistas.
Days 19-33 Thailand
Famed for fabulous temples, fantastic food and tropical beaches, Thailand is a delight. Start your fortnight here with a stay in the vibrant capital Bangkok and discover the dazzlingly ornate Grand Palace, stunning temple of Wat Pho and the picturesque canals that criss-cross the city. Fly north to the charming riverside city of Chiang Mai, shop at the bustling night market and enjoy the laidback charm before chilling out on the white sand beaches of the south.
Days 34-37 Singapore
Efficient and futuristic, Singapore is the definition of modernity. Imaginative contemporary architecture juxtaposed against traditional shophouses, Michelin-starred hawker stalls sit alongside fine dining venues and the dazzling lights of Marina Bay rise above the scenic paradise of Gardens by the Bay.
Days 38-44 Borneo, Malaysia
Immerse yourself in nature in this ecologically diverse environment packed with exotic wildlife. Observe a feeding session at an orangutan sanctuary and cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of endearing pygmy elephants and the endemic long-nosed proboscis monkeys.
Days 45-51 Bali, Indonesia
Embrace the rich culture of Bali. The café culture, bustling beach bars and relaxed surf scene around Seminyak and Canggu provide the perfect introduction to this magical isle before heading to the cultural centre, Ubud. Here Balinese culture infuses throughout with terraced rice paddies and towering coconut trees providing the backdrop to the numerous temples and palaces. A foodie scene has developed over recent years with a wide range of exceptional dining experiences. Bali combines relaxation and adventure, making it the perfect destination to end to your tour of South East Asia.
