En route to Puebla, stop in Tonantzintla and visit its impressive church. Beneath the church’s dome, you will see colourful artwork which includes intricate depictions of stucco saints, devils, flowers, fruits, and birds. Afterwards, head to Cholula and discover the largest pyramid in the world, the Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Pirámide Tepanapa, which features a Spanish colonial church at its top. Wander the town centre, lined with historic architecture, and marvel at the renowned, beautiful hand-painted Talavera tiles.
