Jordan's Ancient Treasures & Natural Wonders

Day 1  Amman    
Fly to Amman and upon arrival transfer to your hotel.    

Day 2  Desert Castles & Amman    
Travel east to discover some of the famed desert castles built from the 7th to 13th Centuries by the Crusaders. Return to Amman for a tour of the city including the hilltop Citadel and Roman amphitheatre.    

Day 3  Umm Qais, Jerash & Ajloun    
Enjoy a full day tour of the impressive historic sites located north of Amman including Umm Qais and Jerash, home to remarkable Roman ruins and the towering Islamic castle of Ajloun.

Day 4  Amman to Petra    
Drive south to Madaba, followed by a stop at the important biblical site of Mount Nebo. Continue to Shoubak Castle to check out the ruins of an imposing fort perched on a rocky hilltop, and finally to ‘Little Petra’, a collection of well preserved ancient relics, before arriving at your hotel in Petra.    

Day 5  Petra    
Today discover one of the world’s most spectacular archaeological sites – the ancient city of Petra. Start with a half day guided tour, winding your way through the narrow gorge of the Siq to reach the awe-inspiring Treasury. After lunch spend some time exploring at your leisure.

Day 6  Petra to Wadi Rum    
Head south to the striking desertscapes in Wadi Rum. Watch the sun set in the desert before enjoying a buffet dinner at your desert camp.    

Day 7  Wadi Rum to Dana Nature Reserve    
Embark on a 3 hour 4WD safari around the stunning landscape before travelling to the tiny quaint village of Dana.    

Day 8  Dana Nature Reserve    
Set off on a moderate 9 mile hike from Dana village through the rugged countryside to Feynan Ecolodge. This scenic trek takes in the country’s most beautiful vistas, passing remote Berber villages and flora-filled valleys.  

Day 9  Dana Nature Reserve to Dead Sea    
Enjoy a relaxing morning before travelling north to your Dead Sea resort.  

Days 10-11  Dead Sea    
Today is free for you to relax at the lowest point on earth. Opt to relax by the salty shores or experience floating in this unique lake. The following day, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
