A Week in Oman

Days 1-3  Muscat
Land into Muscat after your overnight flight and make your own way to your hotel. The next day, join your fellow travellers for an afternoon dhow cruise followed by an evening soaking up the colourful surroundings of the bustling Mutrah Souq.

Day 4  Muscat to Sur
Explore the highlight of the Omani capital, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Head on to the spectacular Bimah Sinkhole before a picnic lunch at Wadi Tiwi. This evening visit Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve with an ecologist.

Day 5  Sur to Wahiba Sands
Discover the desert oasis of Wadi Ban Khalid and enjoy a swim in the turquoise pools. This afternoon continue on to the Wahiba Desert where you will explore the dunes by 4WD.

Day 6  Wahiba Sands to Nizwa
Drive to the ancient city of Nizwa, visiting a Bedouin family en route to learn about their traditions over some Omani coffee. Continue to Birkat al Mouz and walk through the village ruins here.

Day 7  Nizwa
Today visit the finest castle in Oman, Jabrin. Afterwards, proceed to the highest mountain in Oman, Jebel Shams, and enjoy panoramic views of the ‘Grand Canyon of Arabia’.

Day 8  Nizwa to Muscat
Experience a live cattle auction market before exploring the Nizwa Fort. This afternoon discover the impressive Nakhal Fort and hot spring, then head back to Muscat this evening.

Day 9  Muscat
Your tour comes to an end this morning. Make your own way to the airport for your flight home.
