Days 1-2 Boston
Explore historic Boston. Follow the Freedom Trail, wander through elegant Beacon Hill and bustling Quincy Market.
Day 3 Boston to Sebasco Harbor
Pick up your car and head north. Find old houses, sandy beaches and seaside resorts which are scattered along the Maine coast.
Day 4 Coastal Maine
Enjoy a day walking along the rugged coastline. Visit picturesque harbour towns and sample some local lobster.
Day 5 Sebasco Harbor to Meredith
Cross into New Hampshire and enter the scenic Lakes Region. Meredith is a small, charming town set on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.
Day 6 Meredith to North Conway
Next stop is the beautiful White Mountains. North Conway is a great base for exploring this wonderful region.
Day 7 White Mountains
Discover pretty gorges with waterfalls or soak up the view from majestic Mount Washington, the tallest mountain in the north east.
Day 8 North Conway to Stowe
Vermont’s scenery is breathtaking, mixing white clapboard villages and the snow-capped Green Mountains. Enjoy Stowe’s hiking trails or sample some of the locally produced cheese, ice cream and cider.
Day 9 Stowe to Williamstown
Travel on to the rolling hills of The Berkshires. Williamstown is a small collegiate town with several art museums.
Day 10 The Berkshires
Enjoy Tanglewood, the summer home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra and visit Stockbridge with its antique shops and botanical gardens.
Day 11 Williamstown to Mystic
Drive south to Connecticut and the maritime town of Mystic. View the historic tall ships at the Seaport Museum.
Day 12 Mystic to Newport
Newport is home to opulent 19th Century mansions and scenic coastal pathways.
Day 13 Newport to Hyannis
Cape Cod is a 72 mile stretch of sandy beaches, charming villages and great seafood restaurants; Hyannis makes a great base from which to explore it all.
Day 14 Cape Cod
Take the ferry to the old whaling island of Martha’s Vineyard or see the sand dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Day 15 Hyannis to Boston
Visit Plymouth, where the Pilgrims settled in 1620, before heading back to Boston.
