Itinerary

Days 1-3  New York, USA  
Fly to New York and take a bite out of The Big Apple over the next three days. Enjoy the bright city lights, as you explore this exciting city on a hop-on hop-off bus, admire the iconic views from the top of the Rockefelle Center and perhaps watch a show on Broadway.  

Day 4  New York to Boston  
Hop on board the convenient Amtrak’s Acela train for your journey to Boston.  On arrival, admire the architecture and explore the streets of this historic city.  

Day 5  Boston  
Soak up the history on your included Old Town Trolley tour. Hop on and off as you please at any of the 14 stops, giving you plenty of opportunity to browse the upmarket boutiques and art galleries.  

Day 6  Cruise Embarkation  
Transfer to Boston port, board Zuiderdam and set sail for Portland.  

Day 7  Portland  
A big city with a small town feel teeming with history and set on a scenic peninsula extending into Casco Bay. Wander around the Old Port waterfront’s craft breweries or explore a nearby nature trail.    

Day 8  Halifax, Canada  
Halifax is a friendly city with an easy going charm. Indulge in amazing fresh lobster or take a scenic drive along the lighthouse route to the pretty fishing village of Peggy’s Cove.  

Day 9  Sydney  
Latin for ‘New Scotland’, Nova Scotia is home to stunning highland topography and Sydney is its gateway. Drive along the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic routes in North America or head to the famous Bras d’Or Lake at the heart of Cape Breton.  

Day 10  Charlottetown  
A delight to explore on foot, walk the cobbled streets and take in the historic architecture of Victoria Row, stroll the many parks or enjoy a culinary tour to sample some of the island’s unique cuisine.  

Day 11  Gulf of St Lawrence scenic cruising  
Sit back, relax and enjoy the views as you sail through the largest estuary in the world, home to thousands of migratory birds. You may also be lucky enough to spot whales, porpoises and seals.    

Day 12  St Lawrence River scenic cruising
Meander through the natural beauty of St Lawrence River, adorned with forested cliffs, quaint fishing villages and architecturally pleasing lighthouses.    

Day 13  Disembark in Québec City  
Surrounded by ancient granite walls, Québec’s fabulous old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and exudes European character, highlighted by the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Spend your day exploring the winding streets or perhaps choose a tour through the pastoral landscapes of the Island of Orleans and Montmorency Falls.    

Days 14-15  Fly home
