New York to Washington DC - Beaches, Boardwalks & Culture

Days 1-3  New York  
Welcome to the Big Apple! Whether it's your first visit or your thirtieth, New York's energy and iconic attractions never disappoint. With its dazzling skyline of skyscrapers, world-renowned sightseeing and diverse neighbourhoods it's no wonder New York is so popular.  

Day 4  New York to Atlantic City    
Pick up your car and head down the New Jersey coast to legendary Atlantic City. Here you'll find a wide, sandy beach and the world's oldest and longest boardwalk.            

Day 5  Atlantic City & the Jersey Shore      
Stroll the boardwalk or head out to explore the Jersey Shore with its endless beaches and seaside towns. Perhaps visit charming Cape May, this quaint beach town is home to a lighthouse and a plethora of Victorian homes. In the evening try your luck at one of AC's famed casinos.              

Day 6  Atlantic City to Philadelphia      
Cross into Pennsylvania and to historic Philadelphia, a vibrant and walkable city.      

Day 7  Philadelphia              
From the Old City's Independence Hall and Liberty Bell to its world-class museums and incredible street art, Philly's cultural scene packs a punch. It's also a great city for foodies – whilst its most famous for its cheesesteaks there's a vast variety of restaurants as well as the fantastic Reading Terminal Market, the oldest public market in the country.    

Day 8  Philadelphia to Rehoboth Beach        
Next up is Delaware and the delightful seaside town of Rehoboth Beach. Alongside the sweeping sands is a mile long boardwalk full of nostalgic attractions.

Day 9  Delaware Beaches      
Enjoy the family friendly ambience of Rehoboth or explore some of Delaware's other beaches. For livelier vibes try Dewey Beach or for tranquil times head to Bethany Beach.    

Day 10  Rehoboth Beach to Annapolis      
Tick off another state as you drive onwards to Maryland. Sat on the Chesapeake Bay, the harbourside city of Annapolis is full of charm.        

Day 11  Annapolis              
Founded in 1649 this picturesque waterfront city is crammed full of history. Uncover the city's storied past by walking through the Historic District and then enjoy dining on fresh crab, a Maryland speciality.  

Day 12  Annapolis to Washington DC              
Drive to Washington and drop off your car before heading out to explore America's capital.        

Days 13-15  Washington DC        
Home to the remarkable National Mall where you'll find monuments and memorials to America's past, alongside the superb Smithsonian Museums, Washington is a treasure trove of history and culture. But there's plenty more to enjoy including its appealing neighbourhoods such as Georgetown and its eclectic nightlife.
