Itinerary
Fly to Washington DC, the nation’s capital. Wander through the monuments and memorials of America’s history. Stop by the White House, home of the President of the USA.
Days 2-4 Washington DC
Spend the next few days exploring this fascinating city and soaking up the political history of the Capitol Hill area. Visit the fantastic Smithsonian Institution, with 21 museums and galleries featuring natural history, art and aviation. Discover the restaurants and bars of The Wharf, a bustling waterfront neighbourhood.
Day 5 Washington DC to Philadelphia
Board the Acela high-speed train at Union Station and settle into your business class seat as you head north to Philadelphia.
Days 6-7 Philadelphia
Discover the ‘Birthplace of America’ and explore the Historic District, home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Make like Rocky Balboa and run up the steps outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Be sure to sample a famous Philly cheesesteak before venturing to the lively downtown area.
Day 8 Philadelphia to New York
After a short journey, arrive in the city that never sleeps – New York! Explore the lights and buzz of Times Square and perhaps enjoy a spectacular show on Broadway, should you decide to.
Days 9-11 New York
Over the next few days, make sure to visit the Statue of Liberty, shop till you drop along 5th Avenue and soak up the fantastic views from the Empire State Building. Perhaps, head over the Brooklyn Bridge and explore this trendy borough.
Day 12 New York to Boston
Reboard the Acela and head north by rail to Boston. Follow in the steps of the nation’s forefathers and walk the 2½ mile Freedom Trail showcasing Faneuil Hall, known as the Cradle of Liberty. Later stop by Quincy Market and try some of the city’s fresh seafood – lobster rolls, oysters and clam chowder are Boston favourites.
Days 13-14 Boston
Wander the cobbled streets of delightful Beacon Hill, through the green expanse of Boston Common and head to the boutiques and bars of bustling Back Bay. Cross the Charles River, home to famous Harvard University or perhaps catch a baseball game at iconic Fenway Park.
Days 15-16 Fly home
