Washington to Miami

Days 1-3  Washington DC  
Fly into the capital of the USA, Washington DC. Explore this captivating city and see iconic political landmarks including the White House, Capitol Building and Lincoln Memorial. Perhaps visit some of the 21 world-class Smithsonian museums to learn about America’s captivating history.    

Day 4  Washington DC to Charleston    
This morning head to the station to board your first Amtrak train. Unwind in your business class seat before arriving into Charleston in the evening.    

Day 5  Charleston    
Discover the unique charm of this timeless low country city with its cobbled streets and well-preserved antebellum architecture.  

Day 6  Charleston to Savannah    
Spend the day seeing more of Charleston’s historic sights. In the evening leave South Carolina behind as you board an Amtrak train bound for Savannah, Georgia.

Day 7  Savannah    
Wander the picturesque streets of this enchanting southern city, lined with atmospheric moss-draped trees and Victorian architecture. Learn about the intriguing but tragic history of Savannah that has earned it the title of America’s most haunted city.    

Day 8  Savannah to Miami    
Today travel further south on Amtrak’s Silver Meteor, relaxing in a comfortable Roomette. Arrive into dazzling Miami in the evening and head to your hotel.    

Days 9-10  Miami    
Get to know this dynamic city, with its beautiful blend of sandy beaches, Art Deco buildings and rich Latino and Caribbean culture.    

Days 11-12  Fly home
