Highway to Hemingway

Day 1  Miami  
Fly to Miami. Upon arrival, kick back and soak up the dynamic Latin-infused atmosphere of this vibrant city.  

Day 2  Miami  
Explore Miami’s eclectic neighbourhoods and Art Deco architecture on a hop-on hop-off bus. Check out the many museums of Brickell, the stunning street art of Wynwood Walls and follow the beat of Cuban music as you meander through Little Havana, before returning to the glamour of South Beach.  

Day 3  Miami to Key Largo  
Pick up your car and soak up panoramic ocean views as you cross over the Seven Mile Bridge into the Keys.

Day 4  Key Largo  
Key Largo is famed for its world-class diving. View 600 species of technicolour fish and 40 types of coral veiled beneath the crystal clear waters.

Day 5  Key Largo to Marathon  
Continue your journey over glittering blue and green ocean to the middle of the Keys.

Day 6  Marathon  
Take advantage of Marathon’s many watersports – from deep sea fishing to kayaking or paddle boarding – or simply enjoy a tranquil, tropical getaway on the sandy beach.  

Day 7  Marathon to Key West  
Head for America’s southernmost point and the unique atmosphere of Key West. Arrive in time for a slice of Key Lime pie (a traditional delicacy) and the nightly sunset celebrations at Mallory Square.

Day 8  Key West  
Perhaps take a boat trip into the sparkling Gulf of Mexico where dolphins dance amongst the waves, or visit Ernest Hemingway’s house and wander through the colourful old town. Later, get ready to join in with the festivities on lively Duval Street!  

Day 9  Key West to Islamorada  
Head back up north to Islamorada, often referred to as a village of islands.  

Day 10  Islamorada  
Soak up the sun and enjoy the fantastic views from almost any viewpoint on these serene ‘purple isles’.  

Days 11-12  Fly home  
Drive back to Miami airport and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
