Days 1-2  Miami  
Kick off your holiday in mesmerising Miami, a glamorous city with Latino flair, where Art Deco architecture meets sun-soaked beaches. It’s also a convenient gateway for the Everglades National Park. Take a drive out of the city and explore this vast wilderness of mangroves and waterways and keep an eye out for alligators.        

Days 3-4  Cocoa Beach  
Pick up your car and head up the ‘Space Coast’ to laidback Cocoa Beach. From June to October its waters come alive with a rare phenomenon: bioluminescence.    

Days 5-6  Crystal River  
Take a leisurely drive from coast to coast until you arrive in Crystal River, home to the largest gathering of manatees in the USA. Opt to swim with these gentle giants in their tranquil natural habitat.  

Days 7-8  Clearwater  
Head south to Clearwater Beach, boasting pristine white sands and spectacular sunsets. Take a day to relax in the Florida sun, or visit Clearwater Aquarium where you can learn about local efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and release marine animals.    

Days 9-10  Sarasota        
Next stop is chic Sarasota, teeming with culture and famed for its multitude of galleries, performing art venues and museums, including the renowned Ringling Museum. Out of town, enjoy some bird watching at Celery Fields, or explore Myakka River State Park’s jungle-like hiking trails and canopy walkway.    

Days 11-13  Naples        
Naples’ pristine shores are aptly known as The Paradise Coast. Perhaps explore Clam Pass Park where a secluded mangrove trail opens up to white sand and sparkling, shallow waters. Alternatively join a swamp walk (locally nicknamed a ‘muck-about’) from nearby Everglades City, hunting for ghost orchids and great blue herons amongst the cypress.        

Days 14-15  Key Largo        
Set off on the scenic drive to The Keys, cruising down the remarkable Overseas Highway. Key Largo is home to the world’s largest artificial reef, meaning unmatched diving and snorkelling amongst countless tropical fish.        

Day 16  Key Largo to Key West        
Your last stop is the colourful, uninhibited town of Key West. Enjoy the island breeze over an alfresco dinner and soak up the lively atmosphere at Mallory Square’s nightly sunset celebrations.        

Day 17  Key West      
Why not board a local catamaran boat in search of playful bottlenose dolphins, with the opportunity to swim in the warm, turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  

Day 18  Key West to Miami      
Enjoy a final sunny morning before driving to Miami airport.
