New Entry Requirements For Easter Island
Following Chilean law, to enter Easter Island all passengers MUST complete a mandatory form detailing the stay duration (30 days maximum) and provide it to the Police (PDI) at the airport. Passport, hotel confirmation or travel itinerary and a Round Trip Ticket, are also required.
1. Where to get the form?
- Government website: https://ingresorapanui.interior.gob.cl/
2. Who has to fill the form?
- Since the Entry Authorization Form is a personal declaration, each person (legal or non-legal age) MUST fill the form.
3. How to proceed with the filled form?
- The information must be validated by the Police (PDI) at the airport. Therefore, all passengers must hand it in the Police Office located in the Domestic Flights boarding area, before passing carry-on luggage control.
- When handing the form, the Police will provide in return a registration voucher.
- Before boarding, the voucher will be requested by another Police agent. This agent will be there to verify that every passenger has it.
- Any passenger traveling to Easter Island without the registration receipt voucher provided by the Police (PDI) at the airport will not be able to board the flight.
Update 02 October 2019: This form needs to be completed by anyone arriving into Easter Island, on any mode of transport and from any destination.
If you are flying in from any other airport other than Santiago, or if you are arriving into Easter Island by sea, you will need to present this form on arrival.
Please note: This form can only be completed 72 hours before arrival into Easter Island.
