Eagle Island Lodge, A Belmond Safari

Situated on the remote Xaxaba Island, this luxurious lodge enjoys an incredible setting amongst seasonal floodplains deep within the Okavango Delta. With a soothing grey décor punctuated by flashes of deep gold and copper, the lodge offers an elegant contrast to its beautiful surroundings. Activities available include mokoro safaris and motorised boat sundowner cruises in the surrounding lagoons (both dependent on water levels), game drives, night drives, walking safaris, star gazing and a visit to a local village. Other activities available at extra charge include scenic helicopter flights (speak to your consultant to pre-book), bush picnics, cooking demonstrations and in room spa treatments. The acclaimed Fish Eagle Bar is the ideal spot to watch the sun set, before an alfresco dinner and drinks by the fire pit under the stars. Each of the 12 elegant Deluxe Tented Rooms have a large deck with plunge pool and easy chairs plus an outdoor shower with delta views, as well as a luxurious interior with bath tub. This property is unfenced so animals may be seen around the camp and you may be escorted to your tent at night.
