Sanctuary Baines' Camp

With just six luxury rooms set on raised platforms in a beautiful lagoon on the Boro River, this beautiful camp is a romantic oasis. An excellent range of activities is available including mokoro and motorboat safaris (subject to water levels), game drives, night drives (seasonal), walking safaris and scenic helicopter flights (pre-booked at extra cost). Guests can relax by the lovely pool or on the wooden deck that surrounds the main dining and sitting room – an ideal place to observe the varied wildlife present here. See prowling lions looking for prey at the edge of the nearby lagoon or watch one of the many elephants who live in the area. Each of the six Luxury Rooms is tastefully designed combining elegant white linens with batik fabrics and characterful local ceramics. Rooms all feature traditional ceiling fans and four poster beds that can be positioned on the deck for a night under the stars. Also on the private viewing deck is a free-standing bath tub, perfect for an indulgent soak. This property is unfenced so animals may be seen around the property and you may be escorted to your room at night.
