Sanctuary Chief's Camp

Situated on Chief's Island, the largest land mass in the Okavango Delta, within the Moremi Game Reserve, this sophisticated camp offers an exclusive safari experience, personalised service and some of the largest suites in the area. The island is renowned for some of the best game viewing in Botswana and was named after Chief Moremi, the hereditary king of the area who used the lands as his royal hunting grounds. Activities available at the camp vary with the rising and falling water levels but include game drives, mokoro excursions and scenic helicopter flights (at extra cost). The camp’s main areas have been designed in a ‘safari chic’ style with a stunning lounge and dining area, a large pool and a boma with fire pit. Dining is sure to be a highlight here, from early morning tea or coffee, to irresistible afternoon teas and delicious dinners. The property also offers an impressive gym and a small spa. Each of the 11 luxurious guest pavilions features a spacious bathroom with freestanding bath tub, plus floor to ceiling windows leading to an outside dining and seating area and a private plunge pool.
